In Drobeta-Turnu Severin, a shocking situation has occurred. The Easter figurines from the fair organized in the Central Park were destroyed just a few days after opening. Local authorities are sounding the alarm and asking visitors to be more careful. Otherwise, legal measures will have to be taken.
Figurines destroyed by people. Fines of over 2,000 lei
The decorations installed for the Easter holidays in the Central Park of Drobeta-Turnu Severin did not even last a week. According to local media, dozens of parents and children climbed on the bunnies and characters from stories, made of polystyrene, and pieces of them simply fell off.
„- It’s something beautiful and traditional. – And parents and grandparents need to be more careful with their children. – Unfortunately, it happens. Look, it also depends on education. – We hope that in the future it won’t happen again, because it’s something beautiful.”
Local authorities are appealing to citizens not to destroy the Easter decorations and say that those responsible will be punished according to the law. Fines in this case can reach up to 2,500 lei.
„It’s a request to parents and children. The beautiful props that we put up for children to take pictures with should remain as they are.”, said Manuela Vasilescu, representative of the Teodor Costescu Palace of Culture.
